Los arrecifes de coral se destacan por ser uno de los h\u00e1bitats naturales marinos m\u00e1s importantes del mundo, representan una estructura fundamental que se encarga de resguardar aproximadamente una cuarta parte de toda la vida marina y que proporciona alimento y un hogar a las especies marinas, adem\u00e1s de de ingresos econ\u00f3micos a m\u00e1s de mil millones de personas en el planeta.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fundamentales para la econom\u00eda mundial<\/strong><\/p>\n

Se calcula que\u00a0 su valor aproximado para la econom\u00eda global es de alrededor de $375.000 millones por a\u00f1o. Por lo que si llegaran a desaparecer, millones de familias alrededor del mundo perder\u00edan su forma de ganarse la vida y, por lo tanto, se ocasionar\u00eda una baja en la econom\u00eda de cada pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alrededor de 500 millones de personas que dependen directa o indirectamente de los arrecifes de coral.<\/span><\/p>\n

Debido a la gran rapidez con la desaparecen los arrecifes de coral, por la contaminaci\u00f3n y el calentamiento global, se estima que 450 millones de personas que habitan a menos de 60 kil\u00f3metros de las zonas con arrecifes podr\u00edan perder su sustento econ\u00f3mico.<\/span><\/p>\n

Econom\u00edas que se ver\u00edan m\u00e1s afectadas<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Al hablar de los pa\u00edses que se ver\u00edan m\u00e1s afectados por la desaparici\u00f3n de los arrecifes, se puede mencionar el caso de Indonesia que podr\u00eda perder alrededor de 1,6 mil millones de d\u00f3lares anuales.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mientras que en Filipinas, se estima que la p\u00e9rdida ser\u00eda de 1.100 millones de d\u00f3lares por a\u00f1o y en Malaca 563 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/span><\/p>\n

En la actualidad se ha destruido m\u00e1s de la mitad de los arrecifes coralinos alrededor de todo el planeta Tierra y si no se act\u00faa con rapidez para rescatarlos, las consecuencias para la humanidad ser\u00edan sumamente graves, no s\u00f3lo por el impacto ambiental, sino tambi\u00e9n por la enorme cantidad de dinero que se podr\u00eda perder si desaparecieran por completo.<\/span><\/p>\n
